The CWDS Glossary includes a List of Acronyms and defined terms captured from various models, reports, and other artifacts pertaining to the Child Welfare System – California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) Project. The Glossary standardizes terms used across the various project disciplines; each term is defined with its meaning specific to the project domain.

In the context of Implementation, the process of planning, managing, and executing all of the tasks and activities that allow the impacted business functions to transition from the legacy system to the new system.

The technical resources, goods, and other components or configuration items required to successfully implement and operate the CWS/CMS application to meet its business objectives.
