A formal description of a computer System* or Application’s design, components, and how the components fit and work together to fulfill a specific purpose. The Architecture may include required functional activity descriptions, the System* elements needed to perform the functions, and the expected System* element performance levels. The Architecture may also include information on the technologies, interfaces, and location of functions and is considered an evolving description of the approach to build the desired System or Application.
